Geared for law enforcement and other emergency personnel with responsibilities including homeland security matters, the concentration in Homeland Security will enhance graduates' response and effectiveness in the event of terrorism and natural disaster. Studies specific to this concentration include resource and agency coordination, management of critical incidents, and special topics in homeland security.
Program graduates will also be prepared for admission to doctoral programs in criminal justice, criminology and other related fields as well as for advancement within existing law enforcement, correctional, local and state government, and legal institutions.
