And, as the baby boomer generation grows older and advances in medical technology continue to improve, the need for health services workers in various medical career fields is increasing dramatically. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, wage and salary employment in the health services industry is projected to increase 28 percent through 2012, compared with 16 percent for all industries combined.
