Every type of organization recognizes the need for information technology
(IT) managers with industry-specific skills. Globe University/Minnesota School
of Business offers a Master of Science in Management: Information Technology
(MSM:IT) program that prepares students for management within an IT department
or company. This program is designed for the student with experience or a
special interest in an information technology or information systems field.
The Master of Science in Management program is 18 months long. A full-time
student will take two consecutive courses each quarter for the first year,
completing the program with a 25-week practicum/business project. In addition to
general leadership courses, the information technology emphasis addresses the
following topics:
- Project management
- IT security management
- IT personnel management
- Ethical issues in technology
- Applications of information systems management
