The Bachelors in Health Fitness Specialist program includes practicums in the program's on-campus fitness center and a
150-hour externship. You will learn:
How to design appropriate exercise programming for recreational, sport,
power and cross training activities
Ways to prevent overtraining and burnout by understanding individual
dynamics as they relate to sport and exercise
Techniques to use to identify muscular imbalances which may lead to
inefficient function or pain, and how to reduce these imbalances to eliminate
further compensation
How to analyze muscle and joint motion pertaining to movement patterns on
various types of fitness equipment
