College/School: Keiser University eCampus

Management Information Systems (MIS) is the study of the use of computers in business. As such, students study both business and technology and learn how to solve business problems using information technology. Graduates learn how to solve problems and exploit business opportunities using technology as a key business driver. After learning about each key area of business, MIS students learn the tools they will apply to solve problems; how to apply those tools in any business situation; and how to manage the corporate information technology resources.

Tools include computer hardware, operating systems, networking, programming, and database management systems. Application of the tools includes distributed information systems, system analysis, system design, and decision support systems. Management includes technology management and system implementation. Material covered in the classroom will be the same material needed to sit for up to six Professional Certifications.
