The Nursing program provides the graduates with principles and knowledge from
the biological and behavioral sciences, general education as well as the science
of nursing. This knowledge forms the basis for utilizing the nursing process in
a professional practice.
Concurrent integration of theory into clinical practice
is an important aspect of professional nursing education. The program prepares
the student for the testing required by the Kansas State Board of Nursing for
the licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse.
