The Paralegal program prepares graduates for entry-level employment with
attorneys and in law firms. Students develop a solid foundation in communication
and problem solving skills through general education coursework. The coursework
covers fundamentals of paralegal responsibilities including: Application of
business law principles in the normal course of business Providing assistance to
the attorney during trial Researching legal records.
Proper utilization of
investigative skills Drafting of basic contracts, mortgages, separation
agreements, and trust instruments Entry-level Employment Opportunities Paralegal
or Legal Assistant, with possible areas of specialization including litigation;
probate law; criminal law; general practice; and corporate law Parole Officer
