The testing that is conducted by Medical Laboratory Technicians plays an
important role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of many diseases.
Medical Laboratory Technicians are responsible for collecting and cross-matching
blood specimens, culturing and staining bacteria, and making microscopic and
chemical examinations of bodily fluids. Upon completion, graduates will have
acquired the skills required for entry-level positions in a variety of
healthcare settings.
