Graduates will study anatomy and physiology, with clinical and classroom
instruction focusing on Swedish Massage, although such disciplines as Sports
Massage, Shiatsu, Neuro-Muscular Therapy and Reflexology will also be
introduced.
Graduates will receive training in CPR and First Aid, and in
business principles, the client/practitioner relationship and infection control.
The program is designed to meet the standards set by the American Massage
Therapy Association. Graduate Massage Therapists will be qualified to work in
health spas, fitness centers, private practice and with health care
professionals such as chiropractors and physical therapists.
