This Professional Esthetics Training Program offers the most pertinent theoretical and practical components of
skin care training. The theory component emphasizes the study of the structure
and function of the human body, the latest body and facial treatments,
dermatology, product chemistry, and product ingredients.
The theoretical
experience will also expose students to business and career development, salon
safety, Maryland laws and regulations, and salon sanitation. The practical
portion of the program will develop the student's dexterity, manipulative
skills, and confidence required to be an effective esthetician.
The Basic Skin
Care Program offers instruction in basic facials, makeup application, extensive
waxing procedures, non-wax hair removal, and rapid exfoliants. Students will be
using state of the industry equipment and will be exposed to exceptional guest
speakers and faculty who are well renowned in their areas of expertise. This
program meets the requirements set forth in the Maryland State Board of
Cosmetology and offers reciprocity in 38 states.
