This nationally accredited distance learning diploma program teaches professional-level plumbing skills, helping to prepare you for what could be a satisfying new career. Comprehensive lessons teach you about exterior and interior plumbing pipes and connections, commercial and residential systems, and installation and repair procedures.

You'll start with plumbing plans and design: planning drainage piping, cross-connection, and venting systems; understanding specifications, scale drawings, and plumbing symbols. Then, you'll learn about fixtures: installing, maintaining, and repairing commodes, sinks, bathtubs, showers, whirlpools, hot tubs, drinking fountains, water heaters, air conditioners, water filters, sprinklers, and more. Next, you'll learn about waste disposal, and then materials and tools: working with cast iron, steel, malleable iron, copper, and plastic pipe and fittings; installing pipes, valves and faucets; using tapes, squares, levels, saws, files, snips, pipe cutters, wrenches, vises, solders, brazing rods, and scaffolds.

There are no educational prerequisites or experience requirements to enroll.
