Argosy University offers an Associate of Science (AS) in Radiation Therapy
Program. The mission of the program is to provide the medical community with
entry-level radiation therapists by providing them with knowledge and technical
skills, a broad-based general education, and an understanding of, and compassion
for, cancer patients and their families.
Radiation Therapists prepare
patients for radiation treatment, position patients under a linear accelerator,
and administer pre-prescribed doses of ionizing radiation to specific parts of
the body. They may also assist in treatment planning, patient support and care,
and brachytherapy.
