Allied's Medical Transcription Program provides you with the training to become an effective medical transcriptionist. It provides you with relevant, hands-on instruction in two phases.
- The first phase: You learn medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology. You get the skills to comprehend the terms you will encounter everyday on the job as a medical trancriptionist. It provides you with a solid background!
- The second phase: You learn how to accurately transcribe the dictated words of physicians. This includes recognizing a wide range of tones and accents for a variety of medical specialties. The textbook and accompanying CD-ROM feature sample reports, case scenarios, transcription tips, and more! To practice controlling the pace of dictation, we also include a professional foot pedal. Learn to keep your fingers on the keyboard at all times!
Allied's Medical Transcription Specialist Program is designed for busy adults and is available to their students two ways: Online or Traditional Home Study.
